What makes our farm special? We are rebuilding our soil through proven regenerative management practices! Our farm started as a sandy 5 acre plot with depleted soils. We have added more property over the years mostly in the form of leased land for a total of 60 acres. We use management practices we have learned through men like Greg Judy, Joel Salatin and Gabe Brown. Over the years we have seen extraordinary results by taking steady steps toward healthier soil. In 2023, 75% of our fields tested a whopping 14 on our brix test.  This along with parasite resistant genetics, is a critical part of our sheep being able to flourish without dewormer.

  Our sheep start out the year on a good quality grass hay which we feed on pasture. They will be lambing in March and April. As each ewe lambs, the lambs are documented along with any relevant information about the ewe, litter size, lamb size etc. The ewe and her lambs are than placed into a sacrifice lot (temporary pen where we allow the grass to be eaten shorter) we call "the lamb pen". Here the ewes and their lambs are given access to a soft, alfalfa hay, until the grass is tall enough to move them onto the main pasture. Throughout the summer our sheep are moved to fresh paddocks about twice per week. By the end of July most of our lambs will be ready to process or go to their new pastures. We stockpile our pastures which allows us to graze our sheep till the end of December.
